About the Author

Hi all! I think the only thing harder than book blurbs is author blurbs, but here goes nothing. My name is S. A. Stevens and I have been obsessed with reading since I first learned how. Eventually that love turned into a desire to create my own stories. My first attempt was a fan fiction from Narnia.

I have always loved fantasy & mystery books (TV shows/movies is a little more varied). Growing up, I always had the Chronicles of Narnia, Sherlock Holmes, or a Nancy Drew Mystery in my hand. In high school, my best friend convinced me to read Lord of the Rings. That series solidified my desire to create worlds people could get lost in.

It has been a long journey to get here from that first fan fic back in middle school. I have never stopped writing completely, although I was forced to take hiatus' at times due to life throwing some curveballs my way. But last year I decided it was finally time to embrace this writing journey and see where it leads.

DreamWorld

Have you ever imagined falling into a book like Bastian Bux? Or wandering through the back of a wardrobe into another world like the Pevensie children? What if you did? What kind of world would you find Would it look like Arda?That was the inspiration for the Dreamworld Chronicles. A world that is only a portal away.

The World

“...Portals connect this world to the Human world. Different cultures have varying names for this realm, but the most common are the Dream Realm or Dreamworld.”

This world exists along side our own, connected by portals. Portals can be monitored, but are unpredictable by nature.Mythologies across our world have told tales of fantastic creatures and strange civilizations. At one point in time, our ancestors traversed these portals and returned with tales to share.

“My child, there is no way to return. This is your home now.”

Overtime, those in our world saw less and less portals. Theories abound why people from our world can no longer see them, but no matter the reason, the result was that some inadvertently fell into another world.Human cities were established within the Dreamworld as a refuge and place of safety for the displaced.

Book One:
Moonlight Echoes

Moonlight Echoes follows Matira, an orphan who is about to be faced with a hard decision. Become a teacher at the restrictive orphanage where she's spent her whole life, or face expulsion as she ages out. With no job, no money, and no connections, Matira has to consider doing the unthinkable. Before she can commit, a third option presents itself.A portal.Matira steps through, believing this strange apparition is at worst a dream, or at best the fairy tale world of her dreams. Matira soon discovers not everything is always better on the otherside. She is soon thrust into a city that is a threat to her city. Can she find out the secrets of Atlanticia and how she's connected to it? Or will those secrets seal her death warrant.

Matira

Matira always dreamed of far away places. Her head was constantly consumed with fairy tales causing her to remain in constant trouble for her lack of attention.When a mysterious portal appears in her room, she sees her chance to escape the mundane. Instead of finding her happily ever after, she had tumbled into a world of mystery and danger. Will she survive her greatest nightmare?

Robin

Robin had an easy life as Captain of Atlanticia's City Guard & Riders. His days consisted of helping new arrivals acclimate, casual patrols around the city, and joyous rides outside the city.All that changed when his older brother brought her to the city. Now, the once peaceful Utopia he loves so dearly has been thrown into chaos. Will he fail to protect Atlanticia from this threat?

Lancelot

Lancelot has never been "responsible," although, he is dependable. The loyalty he shows to his best friend, Arthur, is unmatched.When portals begin opening in strange locations, Arthur's choices become hard to read. Will the changes coming to Atlanticia challenge their friendship?

Sophia

As a palace attendant, Sophia has been personally assigned to Matira by the King.Kind and supportive, she is Matira's first real friend - ever. Does Sophia's smile hide secrets?

Garvin

• Hair: Shoulder-length dark hair kept in a man-bun.

• Eyes: Hazel

• Height: 6'11"

He is assigned to the maintenance/mechanical task force and spends his days keeping Atlanticia afloat.As a fellow Otherworlder who finds himself living in Atlanticia after falling through a portal, Garvin forms a quick bond with Matira. Could he finally be the "happily ever after" Matira has dreamed of?

Arthur

He is the oldest of the son of the king and the heir to the throne. He is also Captain of the Scouts - the group in charge of rescuing poor souls who've fallen through portals.As one of the Scouts who discovered Matira, he feels personally responsible for her. Can he save her from the consequences of the secrets she's uncovered?

Book #2 continues the story of Dreamworld immediately after the events of Moonlight Echoes.Matira fought hard to carve out a life in Atlanticia only for it to be wiped out in one moment.
